In this course, the presenters will review the 2016 Play Therapy Best Practices Clinical, Professional & Ethical Issues created by the Association for Play Therapy. We will highlight some of the more challenging practices and give examples of what best practices look like in the field. We will also share strategies for play therapist to make their practice synonymous with APT's Best Practice.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1) Identify at least three considerations for using technology in play therapy
2) Understand the difference between consultation and supervision
3) Have several ways of dealing with touch when working with sexually traumatized children.
